The debate surrounding E- Cigarettes is whether they are healthier than smoking actual cigarettes. Prof Martin McKee, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said: “The health community is completely divided on the subject of whether electronic cigarettes are safer than real cigarettes.
It is too early to decide whether they are safe for smokers. How will authorities measure if they are safe or not? Will they know if they are safe when someone gets sick?
The Welsh government wants to restrict the use of e-cigarettes in enclosed public places, because of concerns that they normalize smoking. The bottom line is people continue to smoke whether it is the traditional cigarettes or E- cigarettes. It is not healthy and consumers should really do the research before they start a new product.
